Abstract
My Histogram of the Telescope
This poster illustrates my expanding drawing in the form of a frieze suitable for a wall or hallway. The images are pulled from my notebooks/lab books and allude to the development of optical instruments that have radically altered our sense of scale and perspective. The intimate ‘journal-feel’ of my work encompasses commentary drawn from landmarks marking the cultural shifts that accompany such technological advances. Astronomy, botanical studies, mythology and notions from theology and theoretical science are densely layered in a narrative ‘walk’ that accompanies personal re-orientation in a constant flow of changing cosmologies.
